PLEASE LET US EXPLAIN. . .
Why Change Your Motor Oil?
Motor oil is one of the most important fluids
in your vehicle’s engine. Oil must lubricate, clean, seal and cool. No oil will perform
indefinitely, motor oil becomes contaminated with combustion by products, dirt and water
vapor, causing its’ chemical additives to wear out. Regular oil changes lead to longer
engine life. For maximum engine life, Victory Lube recommends changing your oil and filter
every 3,000 miles or 3 months.
Why Change Your Oil Filter?
Even though most engines hold only 5 quarts
of oil, constant re-circulation of that oil means that approximately 15,750 gallons will
pass through your vehicle’s oil filter in 3,000 miles. This is why it is so important to
have a clean oil filter. Your oil filter prevents dirt and contaminants from damaging
internal engine parts by constantly cleaning the oil as it flows through your engine.
Regular oil and filter changes extend the life of your engine.
Why Lubricate The Chassis?
Your vehicle’s chassis provides a smooth
ride, supports the weight of your vehicle and enables it to turn corners. In order to keep
it working smoothly, however, the chassis must be properly lubricated. To prevent wear and
binding of suspension parts, heavy grease is injected between the moving joints and into
grease fittings. Most newer models now have a sealed chassis, which has no fittings. Proper
lubrication of your vehicle’s chassis insures its’ performance and should be done in
conjunction with regular oil changes.
Why Check Your Vehicle’s Vital Fluids?
Low engine fluid levels make driving more
difficult and can lead to serious damage and shorter engine life. Victory Lube
technicians will check the following fluid levels with every full service oil change and
advise you of their condition as part of your full service:
Why Change Differential Fluid?
The differential gears, commonly known as
the gear box, are submersed in differential fluid to protect the moving metal surfaces from
friction and wear. Normal driving subjects the fluid to high temperatures which eventually
break down the fluid. Victory Lube recommends changing your differential fluid every
15,000 miles or consult your owner’s manual for specific change intervals for your vehicle.
Why Change Your Air Filter?
Your air filter performs two of the toughest
jobs for your vehicle – protecting the engine from contaminants and providing clean air
for the engine. Contaminants in the air can cause serious damage to engine parts. Your
air filter traps dirt, dust, sand and microscopic exhaust particles and prevents them from
entering your engine. For every gallon of gasoline it burns, your engine consumes 12,000
gallons of outside air. A clean air filter extends the life of your engine, increases gas
mileage and horsepower and allows easier engine starts.
Why Change Your Transmission Fluid?
Automatic transmission fluid, when used
longer than recommended, can result in poor shifting or even complete transmission failure.
Transmission failure is the second most costly repair made to your vehicle. The Transmission
Saver is the only ATF service that exchanges virtually 100% of your transmission’s bad
fluid! Consult your owner’s manual for specific change intervals for your vehicle.
Why Check Your Headlights?
Headlights are one of the most important
safety features in your vehicle. Without them, driving at night or in bad weather can be
dangerous. After visually inspecting your headlights during our full service, we advise
you on their condition, and if you choose, install halogen headlights/mini bulbs. Due to
extensive time and/or equipment required for headlight installation on certain makes
and models, Victory Lube does not replace headlights on all vehicles.
Why Change Wiper Blades?
Properly maintained windshield wiper blades
assure safe driving in bad weather, and prevents worn wipers from scratching windshields.
Why Change Radiator Coolant?
Automotive cooling systems are responsible
for maintaining the correct operating temperature of the engine, prevents engine boil-over
in summer and engine freeze-up in winter, plus provides protection from rust and corrosion.
Evacuate the old antifreeze/coolant and refill the system with the proper mixture of new
antifreeze/coolant. Most vehicle manufacturers recommend flushing the cooling system every
30,000 miles. Check your owner’s manual for your vehicle’s recommendations.
Why is the Power Pack Treatment Needed?
After about 4-5,000 miles of driving, modern
precision-made fuel injection systems often lose their initial efficiency and responsiveness
due to an accumulation of fuel-related deposits. These deposits usually create drivability
problems such as surging, stalling, hesitation, loss of power and a decrease in fuel
economy. This can also lead to expensive overhauls and tune-ups. The Power Pack should be
administered at least once a year for optimum performance and minimum emissions. A booster
of fuel system cleaner should be used every oil change (3,000 miles).
